Jason Demers

Founder & retirement Planner

Jason Demers is originally from the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Raised in a family of accomplished advisors, his father and brother sparked his early interest in the field and shaped his understanding of long term financial planning.

Although finance was a natural influence, Jason initially pursued a different path. After attending the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, he relocated to California to build a career in the culinary arts.

Along the California coast, he grew an appreciation for the connection between environment and craft, even learning to freedive to better understand local ecosystems and ingredients. He went on to play a key role in launching a prominent brewpub in Sacramento and gained valuable insight working alongside highly regarded culinary professionals in Yountville. These encounters established his acumen in business operations, discipline, and client service.

Jason also broadened his perspective through international backpack travel, experiencing diverse cultures and environments in places such as Peru, Thailand, Australia, and Colombia. He also studied abroad in Hungary and learned to speak Spanish while cooking.

Ultimately, Jason chose to return to his roots in finance, joining a firm in Denver as a paraplanner. There, he learned the administrative side of retirement planning and developed the technical knowledge necessary to support clients effectively.

His time working as a senior advisor at a firm brought him to Asheville, where he has continued to expand on his experience and deepen his commitment to helping others.

He is now a founding member of Deep Stream Wealth, where he is devoted to applying his diverse background and diligent approach to help clients plan confidently for the future.

In his free time, he and his wife, Mayumi, enjoy spending time at their home on Hawaii’s Big Island.
